Controllers

Controllers are the part of this system that turn signals from your computer into blinking and flashing lights.  The basics of these boards are a PIC Microprocessor, a couple of Communication (RS232 and RS485) interface chips, a RJ45 port for incoming and outgoing data and some type of connection to the SSRs.  There are many types out there, some commerical and some DIY.  I use only DIY boards.

Renard24 (REN24)

This is a 24 channel control board with onboard SSRs (no SSRez needed here).   I have 12 of these currently.

Renard64 XC (REN64)

This is a 64 channel control board that does not have onboard SSRs.  This one requires 16 SSRez to work.  I have three of these now with plans to add one more.
Renard 64 XC

Renard24LV  (REN24LV)

This is a special 24 channel control board similar in function to the Ren64.  However, it has the ability to be run off DC power and control some DC powered LED items without using SSRs at all.  I have 4 of these to build in 2011 and using them to power the Port-A-Floods.

Firegod128 – This is a 128 channel system designed around a modular spoke type system.  It needs external SSRez.  I have two of these.
