I have added some details for the closing date and put the prices up visible on the page. I did not realize that I had left them out. The response so far has been good but we need at least another 380 more lol.
Also, I was attempting an .htaccess file edit and something went horribly wrong. I got a “.com.com” in the file and now the Co-Op page is ending up in some odd search page looking for “com.com” version of my website. I have removed the edits but GoDaddy is famous for making these types of edits taking up to an hour to work. I will see if some time will cure the problem! lol
Ladies and Gentlemen…{drum roll please}
I am happy to announce the start of the SSRez Co-Op. Please see the page link on the right hand side of this site.
If you should have any questions or issues with the website and the PayPal Shopping cart system, please leave me a comment here. If you have trouble with that, then please send me an email.
I have verified the ordering page over and over on IE, Firefox and Chrome. Special thanks goes to rjchu on DICY for helping me work through some kinks. rjchu has been testing it on Chrome with a Mac as well. My Host’s WordPress autoloader did not like what I was doing and it has taken a full week to get things running. I would not be here today without his help. If things do not work cleanly, please let me know.
I have been working on the SSRez Co-Op page and it is almost done. I hope to have it ready to go by Monday, April 19th. I have had a few bugs to work through both from the Hosting side and my own HTML code. This is actually my first WordPress website and I have had more than my fair share of issues getting it setup.
I believe that I will require you to register to actually order the SSRez. This would give me the best way to keeping the details together and minimizing my risk as well. Please feel free to leave a comment or suggestion. This is my first time doing things this way and it am sure that there will be a few hickups along the way.
One major change is that I have decided to use PayPal’s shopping cart feature. This allows me to use their shipping information for labels. They are tied into the USPS shipping system and this is very nice when needed for numerous participants.
Hopefully my next post is “Let’s Go!”.
…ah one more note, I have already purchased some $300 worth of parts for this Co-Op and will most likely order another $200 befor it gets really going. When I see a deal on a part, I typically go get it right away.
