Moving Day

Posted Wednesday, September 14th, 2011

Well, we have finally been able to get the WLC Ventures Online Store up and running. It still has some issues to be worked on but it is working. You are required to register and your regsistration must be approved before you can shop so its best to sign up quickly. This is due to some data formatting issues that we must look over before you start shopping.

EMAIL ADDRESSES ARE REQUIRED!! Folks, we send out all our invoices and other correspondence through email. We will not share your information with anyone and we have a Privacy Statement that says just that. I cannot count the number of orders that sit around waiting on shipping payment.

Oh..and by the way…still waiting for the call to pick up the plugs…gerrrrrrrr…..

Christmas in September!

Wow…just got a call from my freight forwarder! The plugs and wire will arrive in Houston TOMORROW! It will take a few days for them to get the train unloaded so I may not have these until next week but it is progress!

I would also like to take a moment to thank everyone for being such great support. WLC Ventures is literally exploding at the seams. We are very busy trying to get everyone taken care of as quickly as possible. However, the unexpected SURGE of orders has us behind. The are good things going on though. We are adding the Vastelec FM-02 Transmitters to our catalog as well as Kostyun’s Renard 24HC. Personally, I have a new job that will keep me home more so that WLC Ventures can grow.

Now one word of warning..I only have 400 male plugs and just over 2500 female plugs left. If you were waiting, you may be too late!

You guys are the best! :)

Alternative Plans

I sent an email to the vendor of the resistor networks and left a phone message about getting a tracking number for the replacement parts. If I do not have an answer by Monday, I will order the Bourn’s suggested alternative. This means one way or another, I should have all the replacement resistors on hand no later than Wednesday. Please do not delay paying your shipping charges or your shipments as I have to clean out the wife’s sitting room before I end up divorced over this. I have had some folks want to pay for the additional shipping and increased cost (the replacments are more than twice the orginals). I am not going to ask anyone to do this as this is my responsibility to make sure that we have the right parts at the right time. However, If you wish to contribute to this, the shipping is $1.63 for a padded envelope, the envelope is $0.50…and a $1.50 for the parts. I have removed the small donation info as Ken has found the correct part at Allied and I have just ordered their entire stock. Stay tuned for updates.

General Note…we have a problem in Quickbooks…the software does not seem to track when an order has been shipped. So we transfer each order to a large spreadsheet. So it goes like this….Paypal->Quickbooks->Spreadsheet. I have doing all my QC on the spreadsheet. All of the order issues that we currently have are related to one of these multiple entries…transposing…wrong cells and so on. There is only one issue right not that cannot be explained by this (just me not thinking). We are now checking off on all the orders by the Sales Receipt in Quickbooks. Everyone should have had their receipt and been able to verify its accuracy. So you check your receipt…I check the order vs the receipt and we should be able to eliminate all of these problems.

More fluff…..

Okay the vendor from which we ordered the PICs from had them seized by Custom as counterfeits. I ordered replacements and they are here BUT the other items that were held waiting on the PICs are still not here. I am trying to get some answers on this today. I hope to begin shipping any day now.

As for the Vampire plug/SPT2 wire deal….the down payment is being wired to the vendor today. I have been promised an August delivery. These are going fast and I cannot increase the quantities ordered after today. The lowest prices are only through the 30th so get it while you can. Once these are gone, there won’t be anymore until next year.

***Update: All the order confirmations have gone out to everyone who has placed an order before NOON Monday June 20th. If you have not gotten an email with your confirmation or your confirmation is not correct, please send an email to the “sales” address. Thanks!

Latest Update

I got a shipment this week…I was all excited until I opened the box only to find 2000 TRIACs…and nothing esle. All the parts are due in to the vendor this week. However, I am getting on a plane in the next hour to head to the rig. I hope to have everything at home when I get back. Then I can concentrate on getting these out.

All of the enclosure only orders have shipped or had shipping invoices sent. All of the SSRez only orders have shipped or had shipping invoices sent. If you think you should have one an don’t please send me an email from your current email address. Just send it to the sales address for wlcventures.com.

For those who do have shipments, some parts are packaged together. When this happens, the two parts are DISTINCTLY different. An example is a 1/4W resistor packed with an 1/8W resistor or a Capacitor with a shunt. I was trying to avoid using a single bag for one or two parts when the bag costs more that the part :)

Going, Going ….Gone (almost)

You know, I really hate it when a good sale comes and then I run to the store only to find out the sale ended yesterday! For any of you that are a day late, I am going to leave the co-op pages up until tonight.

After tonight, I will pull the pages and they will not go back up until the current orders are packed and shipped. I have one large package of parts arriving today. However, I am still waiting on PCBs :( These suckers got caught up in Chinese New Year and that always causes delays.

Co-Op Update

Posted Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

I am still in the process of sending out Sales Receipts. I have sent about 27 our with about that many still to go. Halfway is better than noway! If you ordered AFTER Jan 24th, I have not forgotten you. I just have not gotten that far yet.

Thanks for all your patience as I teach myself all this accounting crud!! ;)

Co-Op Progress

Posted Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

Well we have entered the final 4 weeks. The good news is that I have almost all the parts ordered. The bad news is that I do not have ALL the parts ordered. If anyone is sitting on the fence now, please jump in. The earlier I get the funds to order the rest of the parts, the faster this machine runs.

Also, you will be getting a Sales Order Acknowledgement via email rather than us posting your names on the pages. This will take some time as I have to enter all the orders from PP. I sent out the first 8 last night. Please verify that this matches your order…ESPECIALLY if you have multiple orders in PP. This is being loaded into the system that generates the packing list (you don’t want this part wrong!)

Also, I cannot order enclosures fast enough. I am placing a third order tomorrow!!! I fill the orders first come first served. I am planning on keeping these in stock BUT they have a 4-6 week lead time. As always, stock orders are subject to prior sale without notice.

SSRez Update

Posted Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

We are just under 300 this morning. Things are looking good now. I also updated the assembly instructions on the Wiki with a few pictures. This should help out those who have never done anything like this before. If you have any questions, please ask!

The REN64 XC is still on hold as I do not have the info on the boards yet. However here is a picture of my REN64XC installed in the CG-1000 Enclosure.

Co-Ops….SSRez Update and New Renard 64 XC

Posted Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

The SSRez Co-Op continues to move forward. I have 166 kits out of the 500 needed at the moment. It is possible that this co-op could end early. I do have a max number of kits based on parts availability that changes daily. It is best to get in EARLY.

I will be getting the REN64 XC Co-Op kicked off this week. I can tell you that I have two quite serious back orders to deal with before getting the pricing finalized.
