Hi im looking to buy SPT2 wire and vampire plugs. Did i need to participate in your group buy event to purchase them from you this year? would i receive my shipment before September15th?

Evan, there are plugs available. However I just got notice from the freight forwarder that I will not get them until Sep 15th.
Do I understand that you DO have the wire but are waiting on the plugs to arrive (Sep 15) before we will find out the shipping charge. How will we know we need to pay for the shipping when it is ready? Email or DIYC update?

I wish I had time to do this for each person that has asked but there is no way I can answer all of these. If you look at the order page, there is enough enough information on the weights and sizes for you to get a rough estimate via the UPS shipping quote. For normal shipping, I get prices that are about 66% of what you will get so you use this as a general rule of thumb.

Just for curiosity sake … as far as shipping price ….
I went to the UPS website and entered in a 28 lb package going
from where our host is to just outside Buffalo NY.
Not including the discount the host gets …. I am looking at $30.

I’ve followed this on DIYC and wonder if (and how) I can get in for one spool of green SPT2? I actually need three conductors, but figure I can rip one legnth apart and make 2x3conductors out of 3×2 conductors. I’m in CA.

I found my way here via the LOR forums, and got in late it appears. I read through these posts as well and saw your status updates on the plugs. I, like everyone is wondering if you will still have plugs available when they arrive. I am looking for 2 bags ea. male/female.

Yes I still have them available..but the supply is dwindling rapidly. Get them while they are still here as once this set is gone, there won’t be any more until next year.
Why three conductor? I have never seen a light string with a three prong plug. I have some available but the supply is limited.
Looks like the Ningbo departed Long Beach, CA harbor this morning….so all cargo it was carrying has bee offloaded somewhere between Aug 29 and today…..should be seeing the SPT and plugs in the near future…Yipee!!!
